Purrs for Treasure

UPDATE:

It is Tuesday evening and Treasure is still in the hospital.

His kidney numbers were elevated and so was the liver.

We decided to have Treasure stay foe another day  and give

him more fluids and an antibiotic in case of infection.

We want to see how he responds to this treatment.

As of this morning he was still depressed.

We will see what tomorrow brings for this little cat.

Could you send some purrs to Treasure.

Sunday night he did not want any supper.

He had vomited a bit and just wanted to lay down.

Monday morning, he was ready for breakfast and ate.

When I came home from work, I could see that he had vomited again.

He was also very lethargic and seemed depressed.

I called my Vet(after hours line) and she agreed to meet me at the clinic.

Treasure received fluids as he was so dehydrated she could

not get a blood sample from him.

We decided that Treasure would stay at the clinic overnight

and they would do the bloodwork in the morning.

Hopefully this will tell us what is wrong.

He is 19 and on Aventi for kidney support.

I will update  you Tuesday evening.

Mancat Monday with Treasure

Treasure: I do not often get a post by myself but today is 

one of the times I am posting.

I like sitting here and looking out of the window.

 I  often see squirrels running on the deck railing.

This deck is in the back of the house and there are lots of trees.

I am about 19 years old and have pretty good health.

I have no teeth, they were stolen a few years ago.

Mum says I have some matted furs and she is always 

picking at them!  I don't like that.

Mum says  am a really nervous cat. Not sure why, I just am.

I do like to snooze, and will let mum give me scritches.

Sometimes I like to sit and howl for no reason.

Maybe to show that my lungs are still pretty good. Heehee.

Well, it was nice visiting with you, but I think I will

have a nap now.

Cat in Motion!

Treasure: I am ready to leave the kitchen.

Mom has that camera pointed at me.

She makes me nervous.

(everything makes me nervous)

I cannot lose eye contact with her.

Getting closer.

I'm out of the kitchen.

OK, so nothing happened!

I'm still nervous though!

Better head to the another room.

Mom: Treasure, you're afraid of your own shadow

 sometimes! Not sure why, but Treasure is  a really

skittish kitty.

Friday with Treasure

Treasure: Hmmmm, not too much going on outside.

Maybe I will try another view.

Nope, nothing to see here either.

Guess Critter TV is not on right now.

In that case I think I will find a comfy spot and relax for a bit.

This looks promising.

This sofa on the porch is always a good place to sit,think

and have a snooze. It has blankets and soft towels to 

lay upon. Yes, this spot will do nicely.

Another weekend is upon us.

No matter what you do I hope you all have FUN !

Finally Friday...the 13th Again!

Georgia: Hey Treasure , what's going on?

Treasure: Not too much Georgia.

I can't make up my mind about what I want to do.

Georgia: Me neither.

Maybe I'll go over here.

Georgia and Treasure: Hmmmmm, what to do.

Gee, Mom says we will get another snowstorm Saturday night

and continuing  all day Sunday!

That means no sun!

I am also not happy about the snowstorm.

Maybe this is happening because it is Friday the 13th again!

We had Friday the 13th last month too.

I am wondering if somecat,that is black,

has anything to do with this!

Julie: Who? Me?

Heh,heh,heh!

Treasure- My Ordeal is Over!

Treasure:

Lick,lick,lick !

Oooooo! Gotta  get this Vet stink off my furs!

Mom took me to the Vet yesterday.

She had taken me on January 29 and the Vet stole half

of my teeth! Yesterday, they took the rest!

My mouth is a bit sore, but Mom gives me medicine.

At least it will not hurt any more because of my bad teeth.

I am glad to be home.

I still have to keep an eye on Mom.

I wouldn't want her to take me back to that vet place again.

However, if she wants to give me more stinky goodness,

well all I can say is bring it on!

Note: Treasure had really bad teeth and they needed to come out.

This was done in 2 sessions. For an older cat, 17 years, he

did very well.After resting most of the day at the Vet's,

he was pretty hungry when he got home. He seems to feel

 pretty good and  happy to be home again.

He handled the surgery very well!

Monday Musings with Georgia

Georgia: I'm sitting on the arm of the chair waiting

for Mom.

She is going to take that Zoom Groom and brush me.

I LOVE getting brushed!

Yesterday was sunny but cold.

The porch was warm though and JJ

enjoyed spending time there.

Treasure is just hanging around seeing what Mom is doing.

Getting Artsy with Treasure

Mom was on the porch one sunny day and saw Treasure 

sitting on the windowsill inside the house.

There was a lot of reflection from the porch door

on the window because of the sun. It gave Mom

some ideas.

Here, the door frame centres Treasure's face in shade.

Mom used her hand to block the sun.

This is a cat in the hand.

Give your purrson a camera and they might get artsy with it.

We would like to see your pics.

Monday Musings with Georgia

Georgia: I like to relax on this bed with a blankie on it.

I do not like when Mom disturbs me with the flashy box.

I especially do not like it when she cuts off my ears in

the picture!

There, this is much better.

JJ is either waiting to go on the porch, 

or hoping it is close to suppertime.

I am thinking suppertime !

Treasure is hoping for supper too.

Monday Musings with Georgia

Georgia : I am looking at Mom and trying to convince her

that it is time to eat. I have my bowl behinds me all ready

for her to put yummy food  into.

I also have lots of toys too, but I prefer food.

Come on Mom !

Treasure is watching the critters with JJ.

JJ does not seem too interested though.

I think he is waiting to see what Mom does.

Earlier, Julie and JJ were hanging out in the kitchen window.

There was some good Critter TV.

Earl the Squirrel was on.

He ran over to the stump where Mom puts seeds.

He got one and is ready to eat .

He has lots more too, but we think he will be fighting

the Blue Jays for them !

.
