Frigid Friday!

Georgia: WE are happy that Friday is here, but
mum will be happiest when Friday is over.
Why? Because today to going to be COLD!!!!
Mum says it is windy and that brings a
wind chill factor. What?
Mum says it ts a "feels like" temperature.
When the wind blows hard, it is colder and the temperature
feels colder than the actual air temperature.

For example, the weather predicts that at 7PM Friday night the
temperature will be -14C(6.8F) with a wind chill factor
(feels like ) of -26C(-16.6F)

We think that is mighty cold(though not nearly as cold
as it is in Alberta,Canada! The temperature at 7PM will
be -26C (-34F) ! That is COLD!

By Sunday we are supposed to get rain!
The temperature will be 5C (15F).
No wonder we are happy to be indoor cats!

Julie is ready for the indoor temperatures and will be very
comfy and warm in her cozy bed.

What kind of weather will you be having today and this weekend?
Whatever your temperature, we purr you will all have
 a FUN weekend

Finally Friday !

Georgia: Hi friends and welcome to Friday!
We like Friday because it starts the weekend
and mum is home on weekends!
Mum is glad as the past two days were pretty cold.
We are on the edge of that Polar Vortex so  our
cold is not nearly as cold as other places.
It should slowly warm up and then be raining
by Tuesday.
We had a light snowfall Wednesday night
and then it froze, so our landscape is white again.

The weather indoors is wonderful as the furnace
blows nice warm air.
Today we are offering up our Friday Close Ups
Hope you enjoy them.
Here is mine

AS it is the weekend, we purr you all have FUN !!!
What will you be doing? Hope it includes FUN !

Georgia's Thoughts on the Past Weekend

Georgia: IT WAS COLD!
I spent most of the weekend here on this
nice warm vent.
It was sunny but it was cold and there was a wind chill!

JJ was not impressed with the cold either.
He hunkered down on some fleecy blankies.

Mum gad to go out in the cold to go to the Vet.
She went to pick up some meds that JJ and I are taking.
On the way, she saw these geese in the lake!

There were 5 of these guys.
I cannot imagine them in the water, let alone cold water!

While it was cold this weekend, we have had mild days
and rain and lots of thick fog.
As you can see, it took away a lot of the snow.
We hope more goes away as it will be a bit warmer.

What did Julie, the Porch Queen, think of the weekend?

Pop over to House Panthers and find out!

C-C-Cold Friday !

Well another Friday is here and it feels the same as all
the other days this week...COLD!!!
Mom said that we shall see an end to this bone chilling
weather  towards the end of the weekend and into
next week. Thank goodness! Bet it has been very hard
on any animals outside!
It was quite nice on out enclosed porch yesterday, so
I went out and spent time in the box. It was nice!

Then Mom came along and wanted to take pictures! ::sigh::
She had to be silly and shoot through the hole in the box.
Peek-a-boo !

Tillie enjoyed the porch too. The sun brings out
the red in her furs ;)

She likes being on the porch so she can keep an eye on
things! Yes, one of the "things" is Julie. As long
as they just look, Mom is OK with that!

Julie spent time in the kitchen windows, since that is
the best place to watch the birds and squirrels.
She also likes to watch Mom,after all, it IS a kitchen !

Tiger was enjoying a snooze on a blankie on top of a puff
comforter.

The best place to sleep and be warm, she says.
With her arthritis, she loves to be warm !

JJ likes following Mom around. He is looking for belly rubs!
He got them too !!

Treasure is looking nervous. He is by nature,
but even more so now!! Yesterday, Mom took him and Tiger
 to the Vet!
They both need dental work, but Treasure will most
likely loose teeth !!!!

When the sun was coming up, the orange glow highlighted
the frost on the kitchen window.

Here in Nova Scotia, the sun rises at 7:43 AM and twilight
starts  about a half an hour before the sun comes up.
That gives us that nice orange glow.

It also highlights the wonderful artwork that
Jack Frost paints on the windows during the cold nights !

That really makes us glad to be indoor kitties !
Today it is - 12C with a wind chill factor making it
feel like - 28C !!! It has been a few years since
we have had weather this cold !
Too bad for Mom, heehee

Stay warm friends and stay inside!
If you live "down under" stay cool  ;)
Either way, have a fun weekend !!!
