Frigid Friday!

Georgia: WE are happy that Friday is here, but

mum will be happiest when Friday is over.

Why? Because today to going to be COLD!!!!

Mum says it is windy and that brings a 

wind chill factor. What?

Mum says it ts a "feels like" temperature.

When the wind blows hard, it is colder and the temperature

feels colder than the actual air temperature.

For example, the weather predicts that at 7PM Friday night the

 temperature will be -14C(6.8F) with a wind chill factor

(feels like ) of -26C(-16.6F)

We think that is mighty cold(though not nearly as cold

as it is in Alberta,Canada! The temperature at 7PM will

be -26C (-34F) ! That is COLD!

By Sunday we are supposed to get rain!

The temperature will be 5C (15F).

No wonder we are happy to be indoor cats!

Julie is ready for the indoor temperatures and will be very

comfy and warm in her cozy bed.

What kind of weather will you be having today and this weekend?

Finally Friday !

Georgia: Yay for the weekend! I always enjoy

having mum around.She will be happy to be home too 

as our weather this past week has been cool and windy.

We have also been getting snow and rain and that looks 

to continue into next week.

That's OK for me as I have a cozy warm spor right here.

JJ: Yup, the weekend is here and we will lose an hour and 

that means we will be confused again about meal times!

We do not like this changing of clocks!

I like to know when my meals will come.

Mum says that the evenings will be lighter longer.

All that means is that she has more time to turn that flashy box on us!

Hey...do you see who photobombed me?

Julie: Oh I love to hang out with mum!
I got to get into this messy storage /laundry room.

We are hardly ever allowed in here without supervision.

I love to follow mum wherever she goes.

She calls me her shadow.

Bad weather means mum spends more time indoors

with me...OK, all of us.

Georgia Enjoys a Sunny Porch

Georgia: On look! A brush!

Mom, you know how much I love to be brushed!

You ARE going to brush me...right?

This little raspberry is for you if you don't.

Mom! This is a bigger raspberry!

I want brushes!

You just need to be firm with your purrson!

I got my brushes!

Just look what we got on Sunday!

A bunch of snow and then it rained.

That makes the snow heavy to move.

Mom has to move some of it because it will be cold for

the rest of the week and the snow will freeze.

When that happens, you cannot move it.

I'll watch her from the comfort of a nice warm window ledge.

I love being indoors.

Monday Musings with Georgia

 Georgia: I am sitting on this windowsill where I can see

into the porch, and through the door to the outside. It is

a stormy,messy day! So nice to be indoors.

Mom put out some seeds and mixed birdseed for the critters

outside. They liked it too.

This little bird was getting some seeds Mom puts on the stump.

It was pretty windy and the snow was blowing around.

Later in the day it changed to freezing rain and then rain.

It will be pretty slippery and messy when it starts to freeze!

We kitties are indoors, so only Mom has to worry about

 the conditions outside ;)

We all  are spending a quiet day.

JJ is wondering where he should go for a snooze.

Tiger is working on staying hydrated.

The air gets pretty dry when Winter comes.

Treasure is working on cleaning his furs and paws.

Monday Musings with Georgia

Georgia: YAY!! Mom is back home full time!

Mom's sister and her hubby came back home from vacation

when Grammie fell and broke her hip.

  

We are happy to say that Grammie is doing quite well.

Soon, she will be going to a Rehabilitation  Centre to get 

used to walking after having a partial hip replacement.

That sounds hurty to me.

I must admit, I am looking forward to things getting back to

 normal. I like the routine with Mom here. I like Mom!

Treasure is doing well after dental surgery too.

I don't think he misses those 3 teeth. He said they hurt and now 

his mouth does not hurt anymore. Smells nicer too, heehee !

In other news, we had snow on Sunday !!! 

We were supposed to get lots and lots of snow,but it turned

to rain in the afternoon. Then overnight it was freezing rain and 

a bit more snow!Mom does not like when we have rain and snow,

because she says it makes things very slippery when it gets colder.

We also saw earl the Squirrel. He was digging in the snow looking

 for the seeds Mom usually puts in that spot.

Right now, he thinks he is being watched ! He is!

Oh!! He spots Mom with her flashy box!

He runs for the safety of the tree!!!!

Eating his seed in peace !

Silly Earl! Mom was indoors and took these pictures

through the window. Talk about squirrely! heehee

Tillie and Julie were happy to have Mom back too !

Mancat Monday

Hi friends. Did you enjoy your Christmas or Holidays??

We did, and we are happy they will last for a while.

I will show you some of Mom's decorations.

Here are a few of our Nutcrackers.

There is also a Christmas circle of cats

Near the ceiling. there are little nooks,

and Mom decorated them

She also put up some lights.

Then,she changed the lights to led ones.

(Tillie was very interested in the led lights)

We had a green Christmas,as there was no snow.

Now that it is over ...it snowed!!

As you can see,it is raining 

and a bit foggy.

This will make the snow very wet and heavy!!

Good thing I am indoors!!

My Wet Shiney World

Well,the super cold is gone!
Sunday we had blowing snow,then it rained!!!
Monday,it was still raining.
You can see the rain on the window.
You can see Georgia too.

This is the road we live on. It is a private road .
There are only 4 houses on this road.
When it rained,it washed away the new snow.
leaving the old hard snow behind.

The rain 'polished' the snow and made it wet and icy!!
This is what people had to contend with today.
Needless to say there were lots of accidents!!!

You can see the water on the road.
Tonight it will be cold and this will freeze.
I think Mom will need spikes in her boots!!!
You can see the reflection of the trees!!

The rain killed my snowbean!

One year ago today , our friend Caesar went to the Bridge.
He was 16 3/4 years old.
He was a pawsome Mancat with a zest for life!!!
He also had a zest for cottage cheese.
That is how we remember him.
Drop by and give his family some hugs.
