Remembrance Day.

We give thanks to all who served in the wars 

and to those who continue to serve.

We will never forget.

Our internet is sketchy.

We will not be able to fix it until next week.

We'll visit when we can.

Monday Musings with Georgia

Georgia: Hi friends.  WE had some rain yesterday and 

today it is sunny but cool. I like to be snuggled in this blanket.

I am warm and I can even enjoy a nap.

This is the bird feeder that the Chickadees like.

As you can see, there are raindrops on the branches.

The birds don't mind as they still have to eat.

Good thing it is sunny today. We think they like sun better.

JJ: While I am having a drink, do you notice anything

different about me?

Yup, that's a bald patch on my rump!

I had to go to the Vet for my semi-annual check up.

I did well too! I also had a big mat of fur and 

the Vet shaved it off. 

It looks funny but it feels better.

Cleaning my face is so much easier than trying to reach

 my  hind end. I will leave that to mum from now on.

Treasure: Do,do, do. Just having a stroll.

Oh no! Mum has that flashy box.

Maybe she is going to grab me.

Maybe she will try to brush me!

I better keep my eyes on her.

I love mum, but I can't help being nervous.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN !

Tonight is the night when Trick or Treating happens.

We are going to a party at Billy, The Time Travel Cat's place.

Georgia is a viking. Treasure and Julie are pirates

and JJ is Frankenstein

As we all love treats, we are also going Trick or Treating.

As we do not have many homes close to where we live, 

we do not get any visitors at our place.

This is also the night when "the boundary between this world

and the otherworld  could more easily be crossed."

If this is the case, we may  be able to speak 

to those that have gone before.

On this night in 2009, our big brother Mickey 

married The lovely Miss Peach.

We are sure they are celebrating their Halloween  anniversary

Monday Musings with Georgia

Georgia: We had a pretty good weekend even

though Saturday we had heavy rain and wind!

It was a great day for scritches and snoozes.

Yawn! Oh, I'm still a bit sleepy.

Sunday was really windy but sunny.

The only thing about this storm is that it blew the warm

temperatures away. Now, it is a lot cooler.

That's OK though. It's nice and warm indoors.

I am cozy on mt comforter too.

JJ is comfy on his comforter too.

Treasure usually keeps me company, but he is 

wandering around and pondering life while

he sits on the bottom shelf of the bookcase.

This was the view from the porch on Saturday.

You can see at the bottom of the hill is a big puddle.

We got 69.6mm (2.75 in) of rain!

Sunday was sunny though the puddle is still there.

My little sisfur Julie enjoyed the weekend too.

She will tell you about it at House Panthers.

Mixed Weather for This Weekend Means Snoozing

Georgia: We enjoyed a nice sunny day on Thursday.

It was pretty warm too.

Today it is raining and windy.

No porch time  as it is not as nice when it is cool and rainy.

It will be like that until Saturday evening.

When it's windy and rainy, the best thing to do 

is sleep like JJ and Julie.

Treasure is still undecided as to where he wants to go.

We suspect he will find a cozy spot and begin his nap.

Mum says the sun will be back on Sunday.

We will like that a lot. It means porch time!

What ever your weather this weekend,

we purr you all have FUN!!!

Our Sunny Weekend with Georgia

Georgia: Yesterday was a great day and I was on the porch.

Mum thought it was a good time to give me a brush.

I love getting brushed!

It feels SO good!

Mum, why are you stopping?

You can go on forever ya know.

Aw,mum!  

Maybe later Georgia.

OK! I will like that!!

JJ was trying to have a snooze and kept telling mum

to let him be. Go brush Georgia , he said.

Treasure thought that since mum was on the porch

giving me a brush, he would be safe in another room.

He is not a fan of being brushed as he is prone

to mats, as you can see.

She took his picture and left him in peace.

Julie enjoyed snoozing in the sunshine yesterday as well.

Random Pictures Friday

Georgia: Well, once again it is Friday.

We are happy but mum is happier as she has 2 days

to spend with us!

This past week mum saw lots of interesting things 

and we are sharing them with you.

This is a picture of a female cardinal.

Mum does not often see this bird as she is

away from home working.

Mum was happy to see her visiting though

we know some cats would think she is crazy!

Mum was looking out the kitchen window one day and saw this snail!

No, she did not bring it in for us to sample.

This is a Burning bush.

In the Fall when days grow shorter, the the leaves start to turn  a

bright red. In other words,it "burns"

Last week, many people were affected by Hurricane Matthew.

He still had enough energy to make it us to Nova Scotia!

On Monday he blew across our province.

While the farthest east part,known as Cape Breton, got the worst

with severe flooding and damage to roads and property,

we got high wind and rain.

The wind broke this big branch.

As the branch fell, it hit this window and broke it!

The window has double panes and only the outside pane broke.

Mum will have to fix it before Winter.

On her way to work Thursday, mum saw this cat

trying to figure out how to get that pigeon.

We think that all he could do was watch wistfully.

We should be getting a sunny weekend

 and we are looking forward to doing more of this.

It is not often that you get to see 3 of us in one picture.

Treasure was sleeping somewhere else.

We are looking forward to a fun weekend again.
