Thoughts on a Winter Storm

Julie: I am not a fan of Winter.
It is cold and often snowy.
I also do not get outside as it is cold!

We had a storm on Saturday.
I have to admit I was glad to be indoors.
I think the snow was taller than me!

Earl the Squirrel had to dig for his seeds!

They did get some seeds in this feeder.
It was also hard for the little birds.

A bigger view of our snowy yard.

These ducks braved the storm for some seeds.

Mum says there are about 2 months of Winter left.
That sounds like a lot to me!
However I cannot complain too much as I am
warm and cozy indoors.
I also do not have to dig in the snow for my food.
I think I will change my mind and say that I
am happy to be an indoor cat!!

Another Weekend, Another Storm

Julie: So, here I am posing nicely for the camera.

Mum says I do not co-operate with her
taking my picture.
I beg to differ!

However, I do let her know when I think the session
is over!

Once again, we are expecting some sort of
stormy weather this weekend.
It will be snow or rain, a combo of the two,
or either one(though just rain seems unlikely)
Whatever Mother Nature throws as us, mum
and I will be cozy indoors (as long as we do not
loose power)
We just hope it will be cozy and nobody looses pawer.
We look forward to having FUN!!

What will you be doing this weekend?

Monday Thoughts with Julie

Julie: We have had a dusting of snow and some
really cold days last week.
This week, the temps should be much better.
There may even be some rain.
Mum is just happy that the temps will be
single digit(-7C to +3 C)
Not as nice as Summer or Spring
but way warmer than last week where mum sad
it was "double digit frigid"

These are days I am very happy to be indoors.
I like this cozy blanket and the warm air that
blows up from the vents in the floor.
I am a lucky cat.

Mum says there are 54 days to Spring!
That still sounds  like a long time to me.
I'm not even sure what time means.
I do know the days are slowly getting longer.
I like that.

Finally Friday with Julie

Julie: Well, it has been quite the week.
The temperatures have been up and down.
We have had sun and rain and cold!
Once again our snow is gone.
This week has been OK, downright COLD,
rainy and now back to  cold.
We are expecting sun for the next 3 days then
back to snow on Monday.
Strange as it may seem, mum says it is warmer when it snows!
These are good times to be indoors where it is cozy and warm.
I am a lucky kitty to have a cozy home.

Now, I look forward to the weekend and lots of brushings
and belly rubs!!
That will be SO much FUN!!!

What will you be doing this weekend?

Warm inside Snowy Outside!

Julie:  Another weekend, another storm!
Lucky for us we did not get too much snow and
we did not lose power.
The snow is light and fluffy.
It is pretty cold though!

The good news, we are warm and cozy indoors!
The weather this week continues to be  crazy.
We can expect snow, sun and maybe rain then colder
by the weekend.
Thank goodness I am indoors and do not have to
worry about the weather.
I send purrs to all those critters that are outside
especially cats and dogs that may not be  used to
being outside.

I am, also thankful I get some brushies every day.
I have mum well trained! MOL!!!!

Some Sad News

Julie: Friends, I have some sad news.
My furcousin Mindy  from Team Tabby has crossed her

Mindy was a really sweet, gentle soul.
Though very shy, she loved her mum and dad.
She also loved sitting on top of  her cat house and
watching all the dog walkers going by.
The people enjoyed seeing the "cat in the window"
as well.

Mindy was a sweet, shy kitty.
She enjoyed a happy life for almost 21 years!!
Mum and I send lots and lots of purrs to her Mum and Dad.

The Weekend and the Wild Weather!

Julie: When mum is done taking my pictures
I am looking forward to some playtime!

After play comes brushing.
I love getting brushed!!!

What kind of things to you like best to do with
your person?
I bet you find it FUN!!!!!!!!!

Last weekend, we had some snow.
Then some rain and most of the snow went away.
This weekend we will have more wild weather.
Rain today, then on Saturday freezing rain
and then some snow! Maybe some sun on Sunday.
Needless to say, I do not want to go outside !
I like the temperature indoors!

Snowy Weekend!

Julie: Well, we had our snowstorm on Friday.
Mum was happy that she took a few vacation days
and was home during the storm.
We were lucky as we did not get too much snow.
It was light and fluffy. Nor did we lose power.
Mum had two siblings that lost power.
Both of them live  quite a ways from us.
They also got more snow.
They were without power for
One sister got her power back Saturday night!
Her brother(who lives farthest away) got his power
back by lunchtime on Sunday!!
He was OK as he has a generator.

The ducks did not seem to mind the snow.
They really like the seeds mum puts out.

Happy ducks!

Sunday, we got rain!
Monday is a bit better with some sunshine.
and not too cold.
Good thing as Tuesday is supposed to be really cold!
The temps will go up some for the rest of the week.

The Calm Before the Storm!

Julie: This is our view this morning.
The view this afternoon will look quite different.
We are getting a snowstorm!!
Mum is happy that she sook a few days off
so she does not have to be out when the snow
comes.

This will be nice. Mum and I can watch the storm
together in the warmth of our home.
She put out a bunch of birdseed for the ones that come
so they can fill up before the snow comes.
WE might update when the snow comes ;)

Mum will spend some time reading her book and I
will curl up on her nice warm lap.
That part will be FUN!!!!

Happy 2022 !!

Julie: Happy 2022 everyone!!!!
As you can see, I'm looking forward to this new year.

OK, maybe I'm just looking, but I am looking forward
 to a new year.
Mum talks about change. I'm not sure what she means
so I will reserve judgement for now.

All I know is that it is a new year and both mum
and I hope that 2022 will be a good year for everycat and
everyone!!!!
