Winnie says...Happy Canada Day!!!!!

Winnie:  Gee friends, it has been a while but I finally 

for mum to help me blog!

It was  a tiring process as you can see...MOL!!

Anyway, we are celebrating as today is Canada day!
Yup, it is Canada's 157th Birthday !!!

I am resting up to be ready for any festivities

and I hope it involves some food ! MOL!!

As you can see, I am just dangling on this cat tree

and enjoying the sun on my black furs.

Mum says cats are heat seeking missiles...

whatever those are ;)

                                            Anyway, I am pretty sure it will be a good day

                                               and I am ready for what ever fun that  comes!

Julie: Hi friends!

Guess what?

Today is Canada Day!

Our country is 153 years old.

Well, the land is much older, that is just the year

it was named Canada . MOL!

It is a holiday, but since mum retired, everyday is a holiday.

                                            It is a nice sunny day today and it is warm!

                                                     I am still getting used to Auntie's place and tend

                                                     to stay upstairs as it is quiet. Mum would like me 

                                                     to explore more, but I have to do that  at my own 

                                                      pace.

                                                I still love looking out the windows. It is pretty

                                                nice and so are the views. I get to hang out with mum  

                                                    a lot  so I am really happy!

Just Hanging with Mum on Canada Day !

Julie: Yesterday was July 1.

Mum said it was Canada Day.

That means that our country was formed 153 years ago.

That is a long ago. I am pretty sure I cannot

count that high! All I know is that

mum was home with me!

Oh!! I hear her calling!

Oh! Did you say suppertime?

OK! I like suppertime.

Here I come!

I like to come when mum calls. If I don't, 

I might not get to go outside.

Besides...suppertime!!

That is FUN and you know I love to have

FUN !!!!!

We love having her home and she likes being home with us.

Georgia: We are enjoying Canada day with mum!

So far it is not too bad as the rain we are getting

will not start until after supper.

Julie and I are enjoying the porch.

Julie loves looking out the window at all the critters and birds.

She likes to pose and not look at the camera MOL!

I am more interested is seeing what mum is doing.

I do not mind looking at the camera...sometimes.

JJ is just going to hang out and hope that mum delivers 

some treats to him. He thinks there should be 

Canada Day treats!

Naturally we all agree!

Canada Day Long Weekend!!

Georgia:  JJ and I are waiting for the day to end

and for mum to get home. Then we will start the 

long weekend!!

Yes, an extra day with mum as we will be 

celebrating Canada's birthday!

It will be a bit rainy and it is rainy today and will be tomorrow.

Then the rest of the weekend improves! WooHoo!

We are looking forward to lots of cuddles and hugs

and scritches and treats.

JJ: Huh? Did somecat say treats?

I like treats! I like scritches too!

I like it when mum is home too.

Julie: I am SO happy mum will be home for 3 days!

I love following her around and getting scritches and belly rubs.

I love to have FUN!

Mum, you can practise rubbing my belly. I'm ready!

Yup! WE are celebrating Canada Day this weekend.

Canada will be 152 years old on July 1st!

That will be FUN !

Canada Day Long Weekend!

Georgia: Oh hi!

So guess what?

It is Friday and it's a long weekend!

That means an extra mum day... woohoo!

It is a long weekend because on July 1st it is 

Canada's  151st Birthday!!

That is great, but we cats are looking forward to more 

scritches,brushings,treats and porch and mum time.

 JJ: That's right Georgia!

I also look forward to cuddle time with mum.

Julie:  I love anytime that mum is home.

She is my purrson because she rescued me.

I love spending time with mum.

Well, I also like the porch... a lot!

It is even better when mum is home because that is

when I am allowed on the porch. MOL!

There is a lot going on at this time of year.

We are having lots of FUN this weekend.

July 1st is Canada Day and Canada is 150 years old!

at Halifax Harbour.

We had some special visitors too.

The tall ship Esmeralda from Chile.

These US navy ships.

.Mum was excited to see this ship.

The USS Dwight D Eisenhower.

This ship is an aircraft carrier and we do not see these ships very often.

Mum also saw these Canadian Forces guys.

They were friendly and waved at her.

Mum has more pictures from her outing that she will share.

For now...Let's get this weekend started

so we can have some FUN !!

Finally Friday with Georgia and Rocky

I am happy today for two reasons.

One, it's Friday and that means Mom all weekend.

Two , it is a long weekend and that means more Mom !!

Monday is Canada Day !!

I plan on doing lots of this!! Heehee!

I also plan on getting lots of scritches from Mom too.

I also plan to keep an eye on this guy!!

We call him Rocky Raccoon.

He is in the birdfeeder eating the seeds !

Here he is sniffing the air.

Mom took the pictures from the kitchen window.

He checks to be sure the coast is clear.

He looks at Mom to make sure she will not chase him.

She didn't!!

When the seeds are gone, he goes away,probably

to the next house.

Mom took a picture of the super moon.

We only saw it foe one night before the clouds came back.

The clouds and rain are back and will be with us

until Sunday! Mom hopes they change that forecast !
