Georgia: Some weeks we have snow,other weeks we have rain.

This week we had rain and most of the snow is gone.

This Winter has been very up and down with 

the weather. We do not usually have more rain than snow.

Since it has been rainy, I have spent more time snoozing

and hanging out with mum.

I would probably do the same think if it were snowy.

JJ often keeps me company.

He likes to keep an eye on mum too. 

He is very hopeful that she will have treats for him.

She only gives them out after breakfast and supper.

Still, he remains hopeful, because you never know...

Here is Julie being hopeful too.

She is not looking for treats, she wants out on the porch!

Georgia: Mum says I spend too much time snoozing.

I think it's because the only time she has a camera in her hands

I am laying down!

See mum! I do get up and about!

I do like that nice blankie a lot though. MOL!

Do you remember the BIG storms we had

that left us with all this snow?
It was like we got Winter in one week!

Well, we had a lot of rain Saturday night and it washed 

a bunch of snow away! More of it melted as we have

had mild temperatures this past week too.

Mum says this week will also be sunny and mild...

at least until Thursday. Then it might cool down again.

Earl the Squirrel was enjoying the sunshine yesterday.

He was enjoying the sunflower seeds mum gave him.

He was also afraid she was there to take them back!

As it was sunny yesterday, you know what that means.

In our Monday post, we showed you all of the snow we had.

Tuesday and Wednesday it was pouring rain!

It washed away our snow!

There is only a bit on the road in the background.

There are lots of trees that keep our road sheltered

 from the sun.

We bet all the critters are happy about that.

We know Mum is happy!

What a Difference a Day Makes

Georgia: Mom was mighty happy that she was off work

on Monday because it snowed!

Ooooooo! Look at all that snow!

It reminds me of last year,except it is not nearly as deep.

It is dark when Mom gets home.

As you can see, we had rain that washed away the snow!

No snow left in our area. It was really windy last night too!

Lots of areas lost power. We did not, and we are happy 

about that.

Just shows what a difference a day makes.

Monday Musings with Georgia

Georgia: Hi friends. It has been an interesting week.

We had a blizzard on Jan. 3. A rainy day on Jan 6.

Then it was really cold all week.

Then we had a huge rain and wind storm on 

Saturday! It washed away most of the snow too.

Mom is happy about that.

The birds are happy too as they do not have to 

dig in the snow for their seeds.

Earl the Squirrel is happy too as he can get around

without having to make tunnels in the snow!

He loves sunflower seeds!

This was the snow we got Friday January 3.

This is what the yard looked like on

Sunday January 12.

There is still a lot of Winter left so we expect this 

view to keep changing from green to white.

Thank heavens I am an indoor kitty !

We had a wind and rain storm earlier this week.
We actually got some sunshine yesterday.
It feels so good on our furs too!!!!!

The snow is almost gone.
All the green you see is ground cover known as Vinca.
It has shiny leaves.
The garden is under the leaves.

There are lots of leaves here,under the trees.
The 'rhodies' have green leaves all year.

Do you know what this is???

It is a chunk of ice that was too big to melt
when it rained.
That is Mom's foot so you can see how big the chunk is.
Today, Mom said we will be getting a 'dusting' of snow
and more high winds!!

Easy Like Sunday

Early Saturday morning , it was rainy and foggy.
We had a ton of rain Friday night.High winds too.
It got rid of most of the ice on the lake.

The river that runs into the lake was flowing super fast!
This river is on the side of our home.

Late afternoon,the sun came out!!!!

Mom was outside.
You can see raindrops on the window.

Tillie dined with a window view.

I had a window seat too!!

After supper,I wash my face.

There... all done.

Mickey decided to take Mom's chair.
He is showing off his nice,black furs!

Today, the rain is back, so we are going to snooze.
