Monday Musings with Georgia

Georgia: Friday afternoon we had some snow.

It came down in big,fat fluffy flakes.

By evening the flakes were smaller and

a lot wetter and stayed on the ground.

Mum said it was a slippery ride home.

Later the temperature dropped and the snow 

got a bit harder.

Good thing mum went out and shovelled tha walkway 

and a path to the bird feeders.

Saturday and Sunday we had sunshine!

It was pretty nice as there was no wind and

 we got to go out on the porch.

The snow on the trees was pretty.

The bare tree in the foreground is dead.

With all the wind we have been having,

it kept losing branches.

Guess there will be some tree trimming this Spring.

We enjoyed lounging on the porch.

JJ loved soaking up the warm sunshine as did I.

Julie always loves being on the porch and she spent

time watching the squirrels.

Earl made it very easy for her!

Yes, we enjoyed our weekend!

Yes, Julie has started licking again.

Mum says she will try some Bag Balm 

She uses it on her feet. Maybe it is the dry air. 

Last time she did this was last December.

Mancat Monday with JJ

 Hello friends. It's me JJ.

I am your Mancat for today.

My brother Treasure did a post,now it's my turn.

Like him, I am 19 years old and am in pretty good health.

I had some blood stolen by the Vet on Thursday .

I have  Hyperthyroid  and she was pleased with the results.

There is no change in my meds.

My hobbies are eating and sleeping and looking for scritches.

I get along with everycat. Mum says I am very laid back.

I like to be on the porch and I share it with Julie.

We get along really well.

The sun feels really good on these old bones.

I like to spend a lot of time here.

Sometimes mum even brings me treats!

Finally Friday with Julie

Julie: We enjoyed having Mom home for a few extra days.

She went back to work Thursday and is working today.

We had some nice sunny ,warm days 

and it was good to be on the porch.

I am looking forward to the porch again this weekend.

Mom says it will be cooler, but we are sheltered from

the weather on the porch. As long as we have

sunshine I will be happy.Since Mom says it will

be sunny, you know where you can find me.

Right here, soaking up as many rays as I can !

Oh yes, I am a mighty happy kitty!

Wishing all of you a happy and fun weekend too !

Georgia: Hmmmmmm, maybe I will go over that way.

Oooo! Wait a minute, maybe not!

Julie: This spot is mine!

 Maybe I will have a nap on this spot instead.

After all, it's Julie free.

Anr that's the way I like it!

Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz !

The Mom: Julie and Georgia  are not best friends.

Julie has been known to intimidate Georgia and chase her a bit.

Georgia is a quiet kitty with a loving purrsonality.

She is very sensitive and likes quiet surroundings.

Julie is an Alpha cat and thinks I am her person.

JJ is laid back and gets along with everycat.

Treasure is the only cat that can intimidate Julie.

He may swipe his paw at Julie when she walks by, 

but that is the extent of it.

All in all they get along reasonably well.

Lazing on a Sunny Afternoon

Georgia: Hi there! As you can see, I am on the porch

having a nice time relaxing. It is comfy and warm.

Those are good ingredients for Summer snoozing.

JJ has already discovered this and is well on his 

way to a good snooze.

Our furcousin Cookie is staying in the bathroom.

It is the safest place for him as he is mostly blind.

He is waiting for mom to give him scritches. 

Mom saw our other furcousin Mike  on the ESS early

in the morning and took his pic.

In the afternoon when it was getting close to suppertime,

 he was in the kitchen hoping to convince mom to hurry up 

and  feed him . Like us, Mike loves to eat!

Back on the porch, Treasure is looking very intently at something!

It was Julie, snoozing in a box!

Mom's Busy Weekend

Georgia:  Guess what?  Mom will not be home 

much this weekend. She and Auntie N

are going to some events.

Tonight, they are going to Nocturne which starts at 6 PM

and ends at Midnight! They are going to see all kinds of art.

They will be joined by other family members too.

On Sunday, they are going to visit McNab's Island

which is near the entrance to Halifax Harbour.

It is called a Fall Foliage Tour.

There will be lots to explore there.

While Mom is gone, we will be doing a lot of this!

Monday Musings with Georgia

Georgia : This Monday is a rainy day,though it is warmer than

 it was on Saturday. It was sunny but cold. Sunday was cloudy

and Mom was off once again doing her annual Tea and Tour

with her sister.

 As it is cozy on the porch when it is sunny, we are 

showing how much we like the porch.

Last Friday, Tillie was looking through the holes in this box

and Mom thought it was cute. 

Well,Tillie is NOT the only kitty who can do that and look cute.

See!!

 Tiger also enjoyed the sun,

and wanted to let you know she likes to sleep in places

other than her box.

 My silly sisfur Tillie appears to find plastic tasty!

 As the newest kitty around here, Julie still likes to keep an eye

on Mom and her flashy box. She will probably get over that soon,

heehee

 JJ likes to have a bath in the warm sun.

Treasure wanders about in search of a good spot.

He likes to be on the ledge too.

So there you have some of our cozy spots on the porch.
