Monday Musings with Georgia

Georgia: Mom did her annual  tour thing with 

her sister on Sunday.

She was gone all day which meant I did not get to spend

time on the porch.

I am not too upset as it was kind of cold, but I did

miss her being here.

She helped decorate this place.

Then she and her sister visited 3 homes all

decorated for Christmas. She said they were fabulous.

I told her I had a great nap! MOL!

I think Julie was a bit more put out that 

Mom was away on Sunday.

Finally Friday and Special Wishes!

Georgia: Well, as a matter of fact I do like spending

lots of time here.It's the computer room and I like to be

near Mom since she helps me blog.

Treasure often keeps me company.

JJ and Julie love the porch and often spend their time there.

As you can see, they get along quite well.

Julie just had a stretch as you can see by her back toes.

We are looking forward to the weekend and Mom time.

Today is special though. Our furcousins Mom and Dad

(mom's sister and her DH) are celebrating their

wedding anniversary at the resort shown below!

 This place is called White Point.

We purr they have a FUN time!

We also purr you all have a FUN weekend !

Monday Musings with Georgia and a Birthday Wish

Georgia: Mom wanted to get a few pictures of me, 

so I agreed to pose.

I do not mind posing, but I wish Mom would pay

closer attention to details.

She cut off my feet! Sheesh!

I figured she could not mess up this pose ,heehee

 JJ was having a bath on the porch.

 It was warm and sunny yesterday.

Do you see this? 

Look at how curly his belly furs are!

Gee! It's gotta be hard to keep all those long hairs

under control.

Mom's sister, Auntiebean, has a birthday today!

About Time Friday

Georgia: Today is Friday and Mom was off .

She is using up her vacation days.

Did she stay home with us? No!

She went out with her sister !

She did come back early though and agreed to help me blog.

I wanted to tell you about an event that took place this past week.

It is about a very large tree that was cut down and loaded

on a big truck and sent to the city of Boston in the USA.

It is done every year as Nova Scotia's way of saying

"Thank You" to Boston for all the help they gave to 

Halifax,Nova Scotia following the  terrible

Halifax Explosion that occurred on December 6,1917.

This picture, taken by  The Chronicle Herald shows the 

tree donor  Mary Lou Milligan and her two grandsons.

Finally Friday

Georgia: I am sitting here wondering when Mom will be home.

She is off galavanting with her sister and brother-in-law.

They have been gone a long time and supper is late!

 Oh,oh!! Are they finally home?

 Mom said they went to this place,

Clam Harbour Beach.

When she was there she saw some interesting things.

One was this purple jellyfish.

It came in with the waves, and then got washed away again.

Here are Mom's feet in the sand.

Here is the water coming in from the ocean.

WOW! THat is a lot of water !

Mom is crazy to stand in water!

This is the water returning to the ocean.

Next, they all got in the car and went to a place called 

Little Harbour

It is a fishing community and these are some of the 

boats they saw.

Mom looked in the water by the side of the wharf and

saw these tiny fish. She said you would have to use a

net to catch them as they were so small.

Did she bring any home...NO!!!

Tillie: Mom said they had a good time, but I am still

a bit miffed. Not only was supper late, but she did not 

bring and of those tasty looking fishes!!!!

Monday Musings with Georgia

Georgia: YAY!! Mom is back home full time!

Mom's sister and her hubby came back home from vacation

when Grammie fell and broke her hip.

  

We are happy to say that Grammie is doing quite well.

Soon, she will be going to a Rehabilitation  Centre to get 

used to walking after having a partial hip replacement.

That sounds hurty to me.

I must admit, I am looking forward to things getting back to

 normal. I like the routine with Mom here. I like Mom!

Treasure is doing well after dental surgery too.

I don't think he misses those 3 teeth. He said they hurt and now 

his mouth does not hurt anymore. Smells nicer too, heehee !

In other news, we had snow on Sunday !!! 

We were supposed to get lots and lots of snow,but it turned

to rain in the afternoon. Then overnight it was freezing rain and 

a bit more snow!Mom does not like when we have rain and snow,

because she says it makes things very slippery when it gets colder.

We also saw earl the Squirrel. He was digging in the snow looking

 for the seeds Mom usually puts in that spot.

Right now, he thinks he is being watched ! He is!

Oh!! He spots Mom with her flashy box!

He runs for the safety of the tree!!!!

Eating his seed in peace !

Silly Earl! Mom was indoors and took these pictures

through the window. Talk about squirrely! heehee

Tillie and Julie were happy to have Mom back too !

Where is Mom ?

Tillie: Well!!! This new year is not off to the best start

as far as I am concerned! Why, you ask?

BECAUSE MOM IS NOT HERE!!!!!
We have a nice sitter and Mom will be in to see us  fairly often.

She is staying at Team Tabby's place and she is looking after

our furcousins. Why? I'll let my furcousins tell you.

 

 Mindy: Mom and Dad have gone off on a vacation.

They are spending it with Dad's brother and his wife,

who have a place in Florida.

You may recall that they did this last year too !

I do not mind Aunty being here, because she gives me

good scritches and belly rubs.

 Mike is getting used to the idea.

So is Cookie.

 And who is this?

My silly brofur Moe!

 They are all getting used to Aunty being here because they

know they will be fed!! Those boys just think about 

their tummies all the time!!

 It was stormy when Mom and Dad left and their plane 

was delayed for a day. They are happy to leave snow behind!

That is because they will be going on a cruise 

while they are away!!!!! They will be on this ship and going 

to places nice and warm!

Gee, they could have stayed indoors like us and be warm.

Though sometimes they have to go out in the cold to get 

our foods and theirs too.

 

Mindy: Have fun Mom and Dad,but hurry home!

Tillie: Um, Mindy, they will not be home for 6 weeks!

Friday with Tiger

Hi, Tiger here. I am the senior kitty here being 15 years old.

Last month, Mom dragged me to see the Vet!

At the Vet place I was weighed and it appeared that I gained 

some weight. As I have arthritis, that is not a good thing.

I also have asthma,that is being treated with medication.

The asthma makes me cough.

 For the most part, the Vet was happy with my health.

She even suggested a new food  to help with my sore joints.

See, even Mom looks happy with my report.

Mom's sister came with us and took the pictures.

This is my new food, Medi-Cal- Mobility Support.

It is formulated to help with joint pain and contains things like

Glucosamine. So far so good,but my poor joints are pretty bad.

Pretty soon I will need something stronger. I bet Mom will have to 

take me back to the Vet...darn.

I mean, she is nice , but she is still a Vet!

All in all, I was just glad to have the visit over with so I  could

get back to my favourite activity...sleeping!!!
